Consulting
Structured engagements.
Defined outcomes.
I work with a limited number of organizations at a time as a senior strategic partner. Every engagement is scoped around a specific business problem, not an open-ended retainer. If your challenge maps to one of these, the right next step is a scoping conversation.
Engagements
Knowledge System Audit
You have a knowledge problem but are not sure where it starts. This engagement maps your current content ecosystem, identifies structural gaps, duplication, and AI readiness blockers, and gives you a prioritized path forward.
Deliverable: Gap analysis & prioritized roadmapContent Architecture Design
Your content exists but has no unifying structure. This engagement produces a complete knowledge architecture: taxonomy, metadata schema, content types, governance model, and lifecycle framework.
Deliverable: Architecture blueprint & governance modelAI Readiness Transformation
Your AI tools are deployed but underperforming. In most cases the problem is the content feeding them, not the model. This engagement restructures your knowledge assets for reliable LLM and RAG consumption.
Deliverable: Structured content system + AI readiness reportLegacy Documentation Modernization
Years of policy, procedure, and institutional knowledge in formats no modern system can use effectively. This engagement migrates that content into a structured, stateless model suitable for search and AI retrieval.
Deliverable: Migrated, structured content libraryEmbedded Strategic Advisory
Your team is navigating a knowledge transformation and needs senior-level guidance without a full-time hire. I embed as a strategic partner for a defined period, providing architectural direction and implementation oversight.
Deliverable: Strategic guidance + implementation supportContent Production Modernization
Your content creation process is too slow, too inconsistent, or too dependent on individuals. This engagement redesigns the workflow with AI-assisted pipelines, editorial standards, and quality checkpoints.
Deliverable: Workflow redesign + tooling recommendationsHow engagements work
Scoping conversation
A 30-minute call to map the problem, understand organizational context, and determine whether there is a fit. No commitment required. Most organizations leave with a clearer picture of the problem regardless of whether we proceed.
Proposal & scope definition
If there is a fit, I produce a written scope document that defines the engagement: objectives, deliverables, timeline, working rhythm, and what I will need from your team. Scope is fixed, not open-ended.
Engagement execution
Work proceeds in defined phases with regular check-ins, visible progress, and early course-correction if priorities shift. I work at the level of your organizational leadership, not as a downstream resource.
Deliverable and handoff
Engagements close with clear deliverables, documentation of decisions and rationale, and a handoff designed to be self-sufficient. Your team should not need me to maintain what I built.
Not sure which engagement fits?
A 30-minute scoping call is usually enough to identify the right starting point. There is no obligation to proceed, and you will leave with a clearer picture of the problem regardless.
